So you’ve got your brand and your business is up and running, but not enough people are aware of who you are and what you do; you need to concentrate on building your brand recognition.

The More the Merrier

Increasing your online presence will get you more customers, it will also help you to retain them and we all know that repeat business is the key to success. Even if you already have a loyal following of customers, the more people that know about you the better; as the saying goes ‘the more the merrier’.

There are many different ways by which you can achieve higher brand awareness online, unfortunately they all take time and effort so be prepared; developing your brand recognition isn’t easy and won’t happen overnight.

Before you do anything it is important to remember that trust is one of the key aspects of any business; people will need to grow to trust you before they will buy anything from you and then if that trust is broken they will not return.

Social Media & Content Marketing

Nowadays social media is one of the best places to get yourself known; you can interact with (potential) customers and can focus specifically on your target audience rather than the entire web. Don’t just stick to Twitter and Facebook, make sure you are on as many social media sites as possible such as Google+, Pinterest and YouTube. If you ensure that all of your posts are good quality and interesting then the chances are people will like and share what you have to say, which will in turn increase the number of people that your posts reach.

Content marketing is a key aspect of building brand recognition; it is a great way to show people that you are experts in your field which will encourage people to think of you as a good place to go if they need what you are offering.

Content can take many different forms, from guest posts and blogs to Q&As and podcast, just so long as you are providing something that is interesting and of value that people will find useful.

When developing your brand awareness just remember that the more people see your brand, the more likely they are to buy what you are offering.
